Disabling the Blogs section

Because someone don't use the forum and adds his/her content as a blog, I think it's better if i disable the blogs .
Wahat do you think about it?
Do you have any solution for this problem?
What do you think about nagative points for one who perform this action?
How about decreasing the blog entry points to 2 points?

Prices of Apartments going up nicely

Hello everyone,

Just a little price 'update' for Paradise Lakes - from my point of view.

I have bought an apartment in B8 (with parking) and paid 265.000 Dhs. for it over a year ago.

Today I went on Sweethomes website and saw that our apartment at the moment, with parking would be worth 405.000 Dhs.
Now, I don't know about anyone else, but I think that is a nice little rise in the price over the last 14 months or so.

And to think that the building is not even ready yet - so at least at the moment it seems like Paradise Lakes has been a good investment. Although, I do have to add that our plan is to live in the apartment - not to sell it ! In any case it is nice to know that people show interest in the projects and the prices are going up - rather than down.

Progress Report (Last week , August 07)

Visited the emirate city and found that nothing much changed for both the tower, work is going on litle slow pace... hope will be picking up once they will get the man power, right now they are very much in shortage of required man power.

Rental laws to change in Dubai (from todays Gulf News)

Hello everyone !

I saw this little article in the Gulf News today - it seems that foreign owners need a permission from the Land Department before they can rent out their properties.
The article says it is in Dubai - but does anyone know if it might also effect Ajman and the other Emirates?

Personally I think it good that there will be more regulation on the rental markets - with the increasing number of foreign owners in the Emirates. It just might come as a little shock to some people who have already purchased their property (with the plans to rent it out immidiately)

Just thought that I don't see a 'LINKS' page on the Emirates City web-pages?

I don't know if that would be something to maybe add ??
I mean if we would like our web-site to have links on, for example R Holdings and Sweethomes websites.
Then maybe if we would put links to their pages or any other relevant pages - they would be more willing to put our pages linked from their pages?

I know the 'News Aggregator' is a great idea, and does link to many relevant pages, but what do you people think about a 'Links' page - good idea or not really needed??

Resident or Investor??

Hello there fellow Emirate City - and specifically Paradise Lakes owners !

I thought to start this Topic, as it is something that really interests me.
I've bought an apartment, with my wife, in Paradise Lakes Tower B8.
And we have plans to move and live in Ajman, as soon as the towers are ready to move in.
Then hopefully make our stay in Ajman a long and happy one.

But the question I was wondering about is, if you have bought an apartment in Paradise Lakes, have you bought it to move in and live there, or have you bought is as an investment??
I am just trying to 'map out' if people have bought properties to live in or to sell on/rent out.

My contracter in Gold Crest Dreams has admitted a rental grantee equal to 8 percent.What does it mean ?Will it reduce my installments or does it mean something else?

the responsibility of the seller in case of delay

The contractors has annonced the completion time of mid2009 & in som projects end2009.Now I want to know if the contracters or sellers have any responsibilities in case of having delay in completion the projects or not?& if yes what are the general ones?
